Proprietor Matthew Rutter created Rutter’s Barber Shop out of passion. The passion of being a barber and doing it the correct way.

Rutter’s Barber Shop is a quaint appointment only Barbershop for adult gentlemen, located within the Village of Lancaster, New York.

Rutter’s Barber shop specializes in classic barber services; from Classic Haircuts to Traditional Hot Towel Face Shaves and Beard Trims. Rutter’s Barber Shop can tend to all your grooming needs.

Rutter’s Barber Shop is also a training barbershop and currently has an apprentice who offers services.

In January 2024 Joey Gerwitz joined Rutter’s Barber Shop as a licensed apprentice. Over the next couple of years he will be accepting limited appointments and walk-in clients while he gains knowledge and experience in the traditional barber techniques and services. All Joey's services with be inspected by the shop's proprietor, Matthew Rutter to ensure quality service.
